Since 1987 Hacienda Las Carolinas has been breeding cattle, we started with the Charbray breed and most recently we introduced Brangus breed (with the introduction Brinks genetic lines) to our herd to bring more quality to our beef and at the same time having a animal with favorable birth weight when mixed with our Charbray breed and adapted to our climate. Our farm is in the driest part of the island and our cattle have to endure harsh conditions of high temperature and high humidity and the Brangus cattle have taught us the color of the hide does not affect them because they perform and thrive in these conditions. Also, our Brangus have been mixing with different breeds, Senepol, Charbray, Charolais and the outcome has been exceptional. Low birth weight and heavy weangling weight which have given us dividends in the scale.
